“A glimpse of life Hajrat Baba Sahab Songiri”
The land of Malwa is that which has been called the best land by Amir khusro (R.A.).This is the land where in every age magnificent Sufis and Seers were born and on this land the hearts of men are illuminated by the teaching of the Sufis and Seers and today too.

Their Shariat (शरीयत),Tariqat(तरीकत),Marfat(मार्फ़त) and Tasawuf (तस्सुवूफ) had not only crossed the border of the country, but they have written in golden letters and coming generation would be blessed. This is the land where on spiritual stars are shining brightly and would be shining forever.I am fortunate to pen down the life of Malwa’s great Sufi and his position and place need not introduction. He is known as Songiri Sarkar. He possesses Zehad-Taqwa (ज़ेहदो) and Human Value and is an idol of morality, love and noble deeds. He is called by a number of titles. He is strong apostle of humanity and loves his mother land immensely. He loves his people.
He loves his country by heart and always prays for the welfare of the country.he always wishes to see his followers prosperous and cheerful. He always struggles to make India a cradle of love and peace. Whenever he sees a bit of envy and zealousness,he becomes dejected. He always wishes that his country should be free from feeling of caste and colour and disputes of religion. When a man glides on right path and leaves for his enternal abode, his eyes brightens.
Glow-worms(जुगनू) of Godly Light are seen before his eyes and his heart brightens with manifestation (तज़ल्ली).The man feels that by running for the world, it is baseless and temporary and it will end one day. Then he ponders over Tasawuf (तस्सुवूफ) and footstep move automatically to the destination of Marfat (मारफत) (Knowledge of God) Zehad-Taqwa (Mysticism-Fear of God) becomes part and parcel of his life. He is lost in divine meditation and secrets of God and His might reveals to him. The virtues of magnificent Sufi and Mujahid (मुजाहिद) are seen in him in climax. His sufi-heart possesses virtues in it’s finest form which are rarely seen in other Sufis. His slightest command and eyesight changes the fate of man.
Hajrat Baba Sahab is reliever of pain, agony and suffering. Search of love of God is an intoxication which dominates man for whole life.inspite of all efforts man is not get rid off of this intoxication. He is drowned in love of God to such an extend that his ambitions vanishes from his heart. He looks at the world mean and he beins to hate the world. The comforts of life do not suit him and he becomes restless.
Hajrat Baba Sufi-e-Malwa under went such a change. He also bade fare-well to comforts of life. He made up his mind to move to jungle leaving the crowded world. So that his restlessness could end so that he could breathe peacefully and with satisfaction. After a long meditation what ever assets had he gave a portion to his brother’s son and rest of money etc. was distributed among the poor and the orphans. When he decided to leave his dearer and nearer for jungle, he had only one clothing on his body.He even gave his Chappals to the needy. He left to jungle barefooted. The path to God is not an easy path, every step had difficulties but He did not loose courage.Facing every problem he continued his journey for this destination i.e. Search of love of God.
What ever he got to eat he ate or satisfied his hunger by water and drowned in mystic exercise(Riyazat). What ever he got to eat he ate or satisfierd his hynger by water and drowned in mystic exercise (Roiyazat). Thus he passed his morning and evening. When he happened to pass through thorny bushes and his feet were injured with bleeding, he used to smile. He never fe4lt pain, when he happened to rest he would rest his head against stone and lid on hard stones. He would lost in world of dreams and beams of Noor would galze before his eyes and he began to smile. When he gazed the birds on trees, they would flock around him and as they thought that he was a Kamilwali (a perfect saint) and he would not harm them. The beasts used to come to pay their love, and they seemed to guard Baba Sahab.
All animals of the forest had becomes homely to him. In this way after passing a few years in jungle, he reached a small village/ when he reached the village his lunacy was in extreme. He was lost in divine meditation /He stood before the shop of grocer in the village/ seeing him villages began to gather there.
Gradually aq large number of people gathered there, when people asked him, his name and from where he had come, he did not answer and stood silent. He was lost in divine meditation. He did not care him self and looked to have lost his sense/who ever came there, saw him and left. A few people that he was faqir (begtgar) A man seeing him lost in divine meditation told that he looked like Ovais Karnni (). The wife of the grocer was a kind lady. She brought food for him After repeated request he ate food. After taking food resting his head against a slab of stone began to gaze at the sky. Gradually people dispersed. He began to smile and probably he was muttering the couplet.
The above couplet was written by a poet to pay homage to “Sabir Piya” and it was applicable to Sufi Sarkar. In the morning the villages saw him where he was last evening. They where wonder struck. A few people touched his feet. He blessed the villages and started for a new destination.
He roamed in jungle for years when he was relaxing in a village, a heavenly voice struck his ears. He stared around. Somebody was telling him that you had. Succeeded in your goal. Your God is pleased with you. He was commanded to leave forest and to march to KAPASAN, somebody was waiting for him. Roaming her and there Baba Sahab reached Kapasan after a few days. When he reached Kapasan he stood near the Main Gate. After standing there for a little time he felt that some was calling him inside, and he entered the tomb (Aastana). Mysterio0us dialogue took place in the tomb between him and great Sufi Diwan Shah Baba, no body knew it but Baba Sahab Songiri and Diwan-Shah Baba, He live3d there for 12 years. Probably he was asked to go to Malwa so he came to the village Songiri in Mandsaur district. He camped under a big tree and began to preach. People around Songiri dreamt that a saint had come in jungle and was sitting under a tree praying. People who had seen Baba Sahab in the same condition, The news spread like jungle fire. People in group began to visit him and were blessed by Baba Sahab’s Dua. Baba Sahab liked that place so much that he made up his mind to camp there. A Khanka was built there . he ne3ws of His blessings and grace reached far and wide. His Zaireens (Visitors) begant to come there after a long journey and almost a gathering of fare was seen at Songiri. Hat small Khanka has turned in to a big building. By that time his Zaqireens began to visit from across the border of India.

All people irrespective of religion come here with great respect for Bab Sahab and take his blessing. Great leaders, Doctor, advocates and engineers come there with grace and honour tranquility ().
